Panel discusses what Jamestown needs to keep, attract young people
28 Apr 2018
A panel of 18 people including high schoolers, college students and young professionals on Tuesday night at the University of Jamestown told an audience of less than a dozen community members what Jamestown needs to do to attract and keep young people.
The panel, formed by a loosely organized group of Jamestown-area citizens, said that while Jamestown has some attractive options, like outdoor recreational opportunities around the Jamestown Reservoir and new features including the Harold Newman Arena and the Two Rivers Activities Center, limited choices in retail, restaurants and midrange housing and careers will likely limit how attractive Jamestown is to young people.
