The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation’s Workforce Pathways Program is designed to bridge the gap between local employers and the next generation of skilled professionals. By supporting meaningful, paid work experiences for students, the program helps meet immediate business needs while fostering long-term community growth. The JSDC provides up to $3,500 in payroll reimbursement to Stutsman County employers who hire university or college students, helping strengthen local workforce recruitment and retention efforts.
Program Guidelines:
- Employers may be eligible for up to $3,500 in payroll reimbursement.
- Employers may be eligible for half the payroll cost to be reimbursed. For example, if the projected cost for the employers is $8,000 they would be eligible for up to $3,500. If the projected cost for the employer is $4,000 they would be eligible for $2,000.
- JSDC will meet quarterly to award eligible employers.
- JSDC will select eligible employers for reimbursement after the deadlines. Specific dollar amounts will be determined for each application selected at that time.
- The employer and internship position must be located in Stutsman County.
- Interns must be juniors or seniors, or within two years of completing their program.
- Employers must pay the intern at least $15 per hour.
- Employers must apply before the intern begins work.
- Employers cannot receive reimbursement for the same intern for more than one round of funding.
- The internship does not have to be for academic credit, but it is encouraged.
- There must be a full-time position available for the intern to transition to post-graduation.
