CEO Corry Shelvin Named 2025 Economic Developer of the Year
We were proud to learn that our CEO Corry Shevlin was named the 2025 Economic Developer of the Year by the Economic Development Association of North Dakota (EDND) in recognition of his outstanding contributions in reshaping the economic landscape of our region.
The award is given out annually to celebrate the professionals and organizations that demonstrate excellence in advancing North Dakota’s economy as well as their commitment to enhancing the life in their communities.

2025 Highlights
In 2025, JSDC was proud to support a wide range of projects that strengthened Stutsman County’s economy, workforce, and community. Highlights from the year include:
- Business Loans and Investment – Funded multiple Flex PACE and PACE loans, leveraging significant state and private investment to support local businesses.
- Workforce Development – Helped fund 13 interns across 9 workplaces, providing meaningful career opportunities for students.
- Community Grants – Provided matching support for workforce training programs, including the CDL program at James Valley Career & Technical Center.
- Housing Development – Invested in shared infrastructure to enable new residential projects in the county.
- Support for Local Projects – Assisted a variety of businesses, nonprofits, and community initiatives, including marketing, daycare expansion, senior services, tourism, and land lease projects.
