South Central Dakota Regional Council Dues for Stutsman County Approved for Payment
August 12, 2026
The JSDC Board of Directors voted to recommend the payment of the South Central Dakota Regional Council dues for 2027. The South Central Dakota Regional Council (SCDRC) supports communities across Region VI by providing planning, development, and technical assistance services to local units of government.
Serving nine counties in south-central North Dakota, including Stutsman County, the SCDRC helps communities plan for growth, strengthen infrastructure, and prepare for future needs.
Locally, SCDRC collaborates with organizations such as the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation, the City of Jamestown, and Stutsman County to support community and economic development initiatives. Their services include comprehensive and strategic planning, zoning and ordinance development, records management, and emergency operations planning.
SCDRC also plays a crucial role in disaster preparedness and mitigation, assisting communities with FEMA's multi-hazard mitigation planning and disaster mitigation funding. In addition, they provide grant writing and administration services, including Community Development Block Grant programs, helping local projects move from application through closeout.
Through planning support, grant assistance, and regional loan programs that encourage business growth and job creation, SCDRC is a key partner in strengthening Jamestown and surrounding communities and supporting long-term regional success.
