VIDEO: Burgum delivers 2019-2021 budget address, emphasizing strategic investments and spending within the state’s means

Gov. Doug Burgum today released his 2019-2021 Executive Budget, presenting the 66th Legislative Assembly with a plan that creates structural balance, improves transparency and replenishes reserves without any tax increases.

“Based on our newly implemented strategy review process, we have prepared a budget that delivers for the people of North Dakota,” Burgum said. "As responsible stewards of our financial resources, we are committed to balancing ongoing revenues and expenses, building reserves, encouraging innovation and investing strategically -- all without raising taxes." 

Burgum noted the budget makes significant investments in infrastructure, education, behavioral health, team member compensation, legacy projects and other priorities while ensuring state government lives within its means.
