The Jamestown City Council approved funding for infrastructure for a new industrial park in Jamestown during a special meeting Tuesday.
Corry Shevlin, business development director for the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp., said the project includes 92 acres of developable lands adjacent to Jamestown Regional Airport. The industrial park would be developed and promoted by the JSDC with the airport retaining ownership of the land.
Shevlin said the timing is right for the project because recent bids for road and other infrastructure projects have come in under engineer's estimates. Shevlin also said the I-94 Business Park, also a project of the JSDC, is near capacity.
