    As we mark Economic Development Week, the Jamestown/Stutsman County Development Corporation (JSDC) celebrates its role in driving economic growth, fostering job creation, and supporting local businesses. JSDC aims to enhance employment opportunities and improve regional business conditions, creating a vibrant and sustainable community for Jamestown/Stutsman County.

    JSDC  is excited to celebrate Economic Development Week (EDW) from May 6th - May 10th. Economic Development Week, established by the International Economic Development Council, highlights the importance of economic development in our region and across the globe.

    Economic development is crucial to Stutsman County’s growth and prosperity. It encompasses various initiatives, from attracting new businesses to supporting existing ones, creating new job opportunities, and enhancing our community's overall quality of life.

    According to Corry Shevlin, Chief Executive Officer, JSDC, ‘Economic development is essential for creating a lively and enduring community. Our initiatives focus on nurturing a positive business climate that supports growth and enhances the region’s economic prosperity.’

    JSDC's vision for a thriving local economy hinges on its dedicated efforts to attract, support, and retain businesses. The organization actively promotes a multimillion-dollar economic development program designed to assist businesses in expanding or relocating to Jamestown/Stutsman County.
