The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors beginning January 1, 2027.

The JSDC works to support economic development, growth, and diversification throughout Jamestown and Stutsman County. This includes efforts to attract new primary-sector businesses and industries, support existing businesses, and encourage new business development that creates employment and strengthens the local economy.

Members of the Board of Directors help guide this work by participating in strategic and organizational planning, providing financial oversight, and approving and monitoring JSDC programs and services. The board is also responsible for supporting JSDC’s mission and helping communicate the organization’s role within the community.

Individual board members are expected to prepare for and actively participate in meetings, become familiar with JSDC’s programs, bylaws, and policies, and maintain positive working relationships with public officials, staff, and community members. Directors also serve as advocates and ambassadors for the JSDC while maintaining confidentiality and disclosing potential conflicts of interest when necessary.

The anticipated time commitment includes two committee meetings and one full Board of Directors meeting each month.

Those interested in serving are asked to submit a resume and cover letter explaining why the opportunity is of interest to them. Application materials may be emailed to Corry Shevlin at Corry@growingjamestown.com or mailed to:
