Mission

Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) is dedicated to area economic development, growth, and diversification.

Priority 1: Attainable Housing

Goal: Spur the development of attainable housing lots and infrastructure to secure the regional workforce pipeline while maintaining strict boundaries on organizational bandwidth.

Key Initiatives:

• Define clear roles and responsibilities among partner organizations and local governments.
• Evaluate housing investments and pilot projects to improve future outcomes.
• Leverage existing and future property holdings to support development.
• Monitor and advocate for legislative opportunities that support local housing efforts.

Priority 2: Industrial Development & Value-Added Agriculture

Goal: Maximize the economic impact of upcoming large-scale energy projects and optimize current industrial parks while executing a disciplined timeline for long-term project asset development.

Key Initiatives:

• Advance active projects within the Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA).
• Evaluate future industrial development sites based on infrastructure and resource capacity.
• Explore targeted opportunities in manufacturing and value-added agriculture.
• Enhance marketing and development efforts for Airport Business Park.

Priority 3: Organizational Excellence

Goal: Optimize internal staffing capacity, eliminate redundancies in organizational meetings, and protect financial flexibility to respond to new development opportunities.

Key Initiatives:

• Maintain and evaluate incentive programs to meet community needs.
• Preserve financial agility and organizational flexibility.
• Improve meeting structures and internal processes to maximize efficiency.
