Jamestown is located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and Highway 281 midway between Bismarck (State Capitol) and Fargo (Largest City). Located in the valley where the James and Pipestem rivers meet the city has a population of about 16,000.
Located in the southeast portion of the state, the county was organized in 1873. It covers a total area of 2,298 square miles with a population of around 21,128. The county seat, Jamestown, is located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and Highway 281.
The Jamestown Regional Airport is served by United Airlines, with service provided by SkyWest, utilizing a CRJ-200 50-passenger regional jet. United Airlines/SkyWest features eleven round-trip flights every week to and from Denver International Airport, connecting you to anywhere in the world!

The Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center was established to create rural startups in the counties of Wells, Foster, Griggs, Stutsman, Barnes, Logan, LaMoure, McIntosh and Dickey. We offer entrepreneurship events to gather and network individuals interested in various industries. As well, we provide customized training and individual technical assistance to assist with starting and building a business. All events, training and technical assistance are free of charge.
