LSS Progressing In Purchase Of Present Jms Hosp Bldg

Jamestown Hospital reports, Lutheran Social Services, has indicated continued progress in acquiring the present Jamestown Hospital building, in Jamestown.

An excerpt from the announcement recently released by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, said, “Supportive Housing for the Elderly is awarded to Lutheran Social Services Housing. The capital advance funds total $2,951,000 to develop 20 one-bedroom units for very low-income residents.
In addition, a three-year rental subsidy of $186,900 was awarded. The project will be a partial rehabilitation of the soon to be vacated historic Jamestown Hospital."

More information will be released at a news conference on Tuesday, August 4th. Jessica Thomasson of LSS and Larry Nygard of Roers' Development will be present.
