The Jamestown Regional Airport began construction on their crosswind runway Tuesday October 13th. The runway was narrowed years ago due to the decreasing size of aircraft using it. The unused runway was converted to shoulders. Those shoulders over the years began to break down and decay causing debris to be carried onto the runway surface. The shoulders will be removed and seeded to grass.
