The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) partnered with the ND Department of Commerce and other North Dakota economic development organizations to promote wind development and the opportunities for wind turbine manufacturing in the state at the annual American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition in Dallas, Texas.

Following up on the success of its training skills class that so far has turned out 100 new certified nursing assistants for health care facilities in the region, the Medical Leaders Roundtable is adding a certified medication assistant class to its roster.

     

JSDC supports to bring Amtrak back

The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. approved a letter of support for passenger train service to Jamestown during its board of directors meeting Monday. The letter came at the request of Jamestown Mayor Clarice Liechty, and was prompted by a National Train Day observance at Zonta Park on May 15.

The group is trying to resurrect the North Coast Hiawatha line that connected Chicago to Seattle prior to the consolidation of Amtrak in the 1970s. The line would pass through Jamestown. more »
