Just ask some of the famous folks who hail from Jamestown. There's astronaut Rick Hieb (who often visits children at local schools while visiting family in Jamestown). Winter spreads her crystals over the pristine snow, making a fluffy bed for enthusiastic snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and rosy-cheeked sledders. Cheer for the college and high school athletes. Keep fit by enrolling in a YMCA aquacize class or winter sports league.

Any time of year, experience cultural activities through the Arts Center, Civic Music Association, three libraries, several museums and music recitals. Stroll through a craft fair at the Civic Center, enroll in class at Jamestown College or take in a movie at one of several theaters.
