Buffalo City Tourism Information Center
404 Louis L'Amour Lane, 251-9145. Open year around. Summer season: 9 am to 8 pm. Fall, winter and spring: 8 am to 5 pm.
Flags Across America Site
605 10 Ave. NW, 251-1875. One of only 16 sites in America, this impressive 30 foot by 60 foot United States flag on a 130 foot flag pole graces the City of Jamestown. Located on the field of Ft. Seward, a military installation in use from 1872-1877, it is a sight worth seeing. Educational material available. Open Memorial Day to mid-September.
Fort Seward Wagon Train
A chance to take a step back in time and travel for a week on an authentic wagon train. Held the end of June or early July each year. For more information visit www.covered-wagon-train.com
Fort Seward Interpretive Center + Archaeological Dig
605 10 Ave NW, 251-1875. This fort provided protection for the railroad workers building the Northern Pacific railroad from 1872-1877. A scale model of the entire fort can be found in the interpretive center, as well as artifacts from the on-going archaeological dig. Free viewing. Memorial Day to mid-September.
Frontier Village
Louis L'Amour Lane, 251-9145. An authentic old west town with free viewing. Local artists gallery, craftsmen pieces and souvenirs available. Buildings open May to October. Pony/stage rides open Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Historic Franklin School
Built in 1909, used as an elementary school until 2000. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places 2002, renovated for use as a Technology Center 2003. Notable students include Western author Louis L’Amour and General William DePuy (Big Red 1). 308 Second St. SW 701-252-2225 - open for tours 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. closed holidays.
Jamestown Dam & Reservoir
For the outdoorsmen, the Jamestown Reservoir covers 2,095 surface acres and has 45 miles of shoreline. It is located 2 miles north of Jamestown and features a modern campground, concession, boat rental, primitive camping. Public use area open 7 days a week. Overnight camping, water, and electric hookups. Available species include pike, walleye, crappie, bluegill, small mouth bass, muskie, and bullhead. The area is managed for Reclamation by the Stutsman County Park Board.
Lutz Mansion/Stutsman County Museum
321 3 Ave. SE., 252-6741. A treasure of memorabilia on four floors, reflecting the culture and life the early pioneers. Free Viewing. Open June to September 31st
National Buffalo Museum
Located on the grounds of Frontier Village, 252-8648. History of the American Bison, one-wife tepee display and excellent antique gun collection. Prairie Winds gift shop. Open year around. Small charge for the museum.
Stutsman County Museum
321 3rd Ave. SE, 252-6741. A treasure of memorabilia reflecting the culture and life of the Early pioneers, in ND and Stutsman County.
Stutsman County Courthouse
5th and 3rd Ave. SE. ND's oldest courthouse, constructed in 1883. Walk-by only.
World's Largest Buffalo
Louis L'Amour Lane, 251-9145. Located in Frontier Village, scenic view of Jamestown. Dedicated in 1959, 26 feet high, 46 feet long, 60 ton concrete monument. Free viewing.
"White Cloud" & "Princess Winona"
Louis L'Amour Lane, 252-8648. Located on pasture land by the Frontier Village and National Buffalo Museum, White Cloud is the only certified, true albino buffalo in North America. Free viewing.

Recreation
What's there to do in Jamestown, ND? The answer...tons. No matter your interest, Jamestown has something to offer everyone. For the art enthusiast, we have museums and theatres; for the outdoorsman, some of the finest hunting and fishing in the entire nation. It's more of a matter of if you'll have enough time to fit everything in!
 
Arts
Experience the true culture of North Dakota with the Stutsman County Museum, the Buffalo Museum, the Arts Center...there's even an Amateur Theatre for those that love to be involved And, with Jamestown College's Reiland Arts Center hosting constant cultural activities, even the largest arts enthusiast will find it hard to fit everything in their schedule. All cultural events and performances presented by the College through this facility will be open to the public.
Golf
The Hillcrest Golf Course is an 18-hole grass course, which is operated by the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department. Some of the conveniences available at Hillcrest include: a driving range, practice putting green, golf cart storage units. Within the clubhouse there is a pro shop, golf simulator, rentals of golf carts and clubs, locker rentals, lessons (private and group), concessions, and a conference room that is available for rent. Ladies Day is on Tuesday and Men's Day is on Thursday. For more information or tee time please call the clubhouse at 252-4320.

Parks
Whether your playing softball, going for a walk or taking the kids to play, Jamestown offers an array of parks and trails to anyone that wants to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Twelve softball fields, 8 soccer fields, 9 tennis courts, a jogging and excersize trail and 8 parks of varying sizes grace the community.
Jamestown Civic Center
Built in 1973, this facility seats up to 6500, has 11 separate meeting rooms and an 18,000 square foot exhibit area. It plays host to trade shows, conventions, entertainment and sporting events. Also, within the building is the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame. From car shows to rodeos there always seems to be something going on at the Civic.

Jamestown Speedway
The Jamestown Speedway is a 1/4 mile, high banked, dirt track. This track offers exciting Wissota Modified, Wissota Street, Bomber, and Road Hog action every Saturday night!! It's also the home of the Stock Car Stampede which is the largest race of the season averaging 250 cars. The new improvements this year will make for an exciting racing season.
